According to the latest reports and new rumors, this year, of course, 2019 will definitely change the concept of mobile phones. As after several brands have already given evidence that they are betting on foldable smartphones, and the world’s second-largest smartphone brand, of course, I am talking about the well-known Chinese smartphone manufacturer, of course, Huawei was quick to react.

However, now apart from all these things, the most interesting thing is that in the month of February 2019 the well-known Chinese smartphone manufacturer, of course, Huawei to launch its brand new folding smartphone.

As the year 2018 was a rather boring year for the smartphone segment. However, this year is becoming one of the most appealing, given the “promises” of new technologies. So the two trends we expect to see this year are foldable smartphones and 5G smartphones.


As recently, the head of the consumer division of the well-known Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Huawei, Richard Yu just announced foldable smartphone technology during the presentation of the company’s 5G mobile launch in China.

While most companies will launch a foldable and 5G smartphone, but the fact is that the well-known Chinese smartphone brand Huawei is adopting a different approach, as Yu continued and stated that “we look forward to seeing you in Barcelona in February, where we will launch the world’s first 5G smartphone with folding screen.”

Back at the launch of Huawei’s latest top-of-the-line Mate 20 Pro in October, Richard Yu confirmed that the company was working on a 5G folding smartphone. However, it would not be in our expectations to see this device in Barcelona at the Mobile World Congress.

Moreover, this smartphone is likely to be associated with the company’s key devices for the first half of the year, including the Huawei P30 series and a successor to Huawei MateBook X Pro.

The MWC will take place in the city of Barcelona, from 25 to 28 February. In this event which is certainly dedicated to the mobile world, we hope to see the bets of other brands, such as Sony, Nokia, LG, and other well-known brands as well.
